Business Analysis
Most business professionals have expertise in their
primary area, i.e.: marketing, accounting, or information technology. Within
each group, there usually is a common language. In order for the
organization to successfully work as a cohesive enterprise to provide
consistent information and services, they need to find a way to communicate
between groups and determine how each groups' immediate needs fit within the
overall strategies and goals of the company.
For example, the main reason organizations are building
data warehouses is to provide consistent information across all
applications, across all platforms, to all audiences. This requires a huge
effort by the organization to define the data requirements and definitions
for the organization as a whole.
Individuals that work well as liaisons between
organizational groups to enhance communications are Business Analysts.
Spectrum Informatics Business Analysts possess the skills to clearly
identify both the business customer requirements and are able to communicate
and document them for all the organizational areas that rely on this
information.
Some of the projects where a Business
Analyst may be involved include:
-
Selecting or Customizing Application Software Packages
-

-
